A case has been registered at Kondhwa Police Station regarding the alleged cheating of a 67-year-old doctor, Dr. Ahmad Ali Inam Ali Qureshi, residing in Mayfair Eleganza, NIBM Road, Kondhwa. It's reported that the doctor was swindled out of assets worth approximately 5 crore 37 lakh 90 thousand rupees, including cash, gold articles, and gold biscuits, between October 17, 2018, and April 11. The accused individuals, Sadiq Abdulmajeed Shaikh, Yasmin Sadiq Shaikh, Etesham Sadiq Shaikh, Ammar Sadiq Shaikh, and Raj Adhaw alias Narsu, all residents of Harmony Society, Kondhwa-Bibwewadi Road, Gultekdi, have been charged under sections 420, 406, 323, and 34 of the Indian Penal Code. The police reported that Sadiq, along with his wife Yasmin and children Etesham and Ammar, cultivated a close relationship with the doctor, engaging in religious discussions and encouraging him to earn more merit for a promised path to heaven. Through this manipulation, they convinced the doctor to transfer 11 reward certificates of various properties into their names. Additionally, they allegedly stole cash, gold articles, and gold biscuits from the doctor for their own financial gain. Despite the doctor's demand for the return of his property, they refused. The complaint alleges that the doctor was cheated out of property worth millions of rupees. Police Inspector (Crime) Patil is overseeing the ongoing investigation.
