ചാണ്ഡിഗർ (പഞ്ചാബ്): പഞ്ചാബ് കായിക മന്ത്രി ഗുർമീത് സിംഗ് (33) ഇക്കഴിഞ്ഞ നവംബർ ഏഴിന് വിവാഹിതനായി. നവംബർ എട്ടിന് ദേരാ ബസ്സിയിലാണ് റിസപ്ഷൻ നടന്നത്. ഭഗവന്ത് മാൻ സർക്കാരിലെ ക്യാബിനറ്റ് മന്ത്രിയും ബർണാലയിൽ നിന്ന് രണ്ട് തവണ എം.എൽ.എയുമായ ഗുർമീത്, ജലവിഭവങ്ങൾ, മണ്ണ്-ജല സംരക്ഷണം, ഖനികൾ, ഭൂമിശാസ്ത്രം, ശാസ്ത്രം, സാങ്കേതികവിദ്യ, പരിസ്ഥിതി എന്നിവയുടെ വകുപ്പുകളും കൈകാര്യം ചെയ്യുന്നു. ഡോക്ടറായ ഗുർവീൻ കൗറിനെയാണ് ഗുർമീത് വിവാഹം ചെയ്തത്. റേഡിയോളജിസ്റ്റായ ഡോ.ഗുർവീൺ കൗർ ഡൽഹിയിലെ ഒരു സ്വകാര്യ ആശുപത്രിയിലാണ് ജോലി ചെയ്യുന്നത്. വിഭജനത്തിന് ശേഷം അവരുടെ കുടുംബം പഞ്ചാബിൽ നിന്ന് ഉത്തർപ്രദേശിലെ മീററ്റിലേക്ക് മാറുകയായിരുന്നു. ഡോക്ടറുടെ അച്ഛൻ ഭൂപേന്ദർ സിംഗ് ബജ്വ ഇന്ത്യൻ ഒളിമ്പിക്സ് അസോസിയേഷൻ്റെ ഭാരവാഹിയാണ്. അടുത്തിടെ നടന്ന ഹാങ്ഷൗ ഏഷ്യൻ ഗെയിമുകളുടെ രാജ്യത്തിൻ്റെ "ഷെഫ് ഡി മിഷൻ" ആയിരുന്നു ഭൂപേന്ദർ സിംഗ്. വുഷു അസോസിയേഷൻ ഓഫ് ഇന്ത്യയുടെ പ്രസിഡണ്ട് കൂടിയാണ് ഇദ്ദേഹം.
