ചെന്നൈ: രാജീവ് ഗാന്ധി സർക്കാർ ജനറൽ ആശുപത്രിയിൽ ജോലി ചെയ്യുന്ന 30 കാരനായ ഡോക്ടറെ തിങ്കളാഴ്ച ചൂളൈമേട്ടിലെ വീട്ടിൽ മരിച്ച നിലയിൽ കണ്ടെത്തി. മദ്രാസ് മെഡിക്കൽ കോളേജിൽ സർജിക്കൽ ഗ്യാസ്ട്രോഎന്ററോളജിയിൽ എം.സി.എച്ച് ചെയ്യുകയായിരുന്ന ഡോ. പി. മറുതപാണ്ട്യൻ ആണ് മരണപ്പെട്ടത്. ഇദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ഭാര്യയുടെ കോളുകൾക്കൊന്നും ഇദ്ദേഹം പ്രതികരിക്കാതെ വന്നതോടെ പരിഭ്രാന്തയായ ഭാര്യ ഉടൻ തന്നെ മറുതപാണ്ട്യൻറെ കുടുംബത്തെയും ബന്ധുക്കളെയും വിവരമറിയിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. തുടർന്ന്, വീട്ടുകാരും അയൽക്കാരും വാതിൽ തകർത്ത് അകത്ത് കടന്നപ്പോഴാണ് കിടപ്പുമുറിയിൽ ഇദ്ദേഹത്തെ മരിച്ച നിലയിൽ കണ്ടെത്തിയത്. മൃതദേഹം പരിശോധിച്ച ഡോക്ടർമാർക്ക് ബാഹ്യമായ മുറിവുകളൊന്നും കണ്ടെത്താൻ സാധിച്ചിട്ടില്ല. മരണ കാരണം ഇത് വരെ കണ്ടെത്താൻ കഴിയാത്തതിനാൽ ഡോക്ടർമാർ ഫോറൻസിക് ഡിപ്പാർട്മെന്റിനോട് വിശകലനം തേടി. മരുതപാണ്ഡ്യൻ ഞായറാഴ്ച വീട്ടിൽ തിരിച്ചെത്തിയെന്നും തുടർന്ന് ഇദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ മൊബൈൽ ഫോൺ ലഭ്യമല്ലെന്നും അന്വേഷണത്തിൽ കണ്ടെത്തി. ഈ കേസുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട് കൂടുതൽ അന്വേഷണം നടന്നു വരികയാണ്.
