ഡൽഹി: ഡൽഹിയിൽ വായുവിൻ്റെ നിലവാരം തീരെ കുറയുന്നതിനാൽ മനുഷ്യ ശരീരത്തിൻ്റെ മൊത്തത്തിലുള്ള ആരോഗ്യത്തെ വായു മലിനീകരണത്തിൻ്റെ അപകടകരമായ ആഘാതം എത്രത്തോളം ബാധിക്കുമെന്ന് ഡോക്ടർമാരും ആരോഗ്യ വിദഗ്ധരും ചേർന്ന് വിശദീകരിച്ചു. വായു മലിനീകരണവും വിവിധ തരത്തിലുള്ള ക്യാൻസറുകളും തമ്മിൽ ബന്ധമുണ്ടെന്ന് തെളിയിക്കുന്ന ശാസ്ത്രീയ തെളിവുകളുണ്ടെന്ന് എയിംസിലെ ഡിപ്പാർട്ട്മെന്റ് ഓഫ് മെഡിസിനിലെ അഡീഷണൽ പ്രൊഫസറായ ഡോ. പിയൂഷ് രഞ്ജൻ പറഞ്ഞു. ശ്വസനവ്യവസ്ഥയെ ദോഷകരമായി ബാധിക്കുന്നതിനു പുറമേ, ഹൃദയാഘാതം, മസ്തിഷ്കാഘാതം, സന്ധിവാതം തുടങ്ങിയ കൊറോണറി ആർട്ടറി രോഗങ്ങളുമായി വായു മലിനീകരണത്തിന് നേരിട്ടുള്ള ബന്ധമുണ്ടെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു. "വായു മലിനീകരണം ശ്വാസകോശ സംബന്ധമായ അസുഖങ്ങൾക്ക് പുറമെ ശരീരത്തിൻ്റെ വിവിധ സംവിധാനങ്ങളെ ബാധിക്കുമെന്ന് മനസ്സിലാക്കേണ്ടത് പ്രധാനമാണ്. ഹൃദയാഘാതം, ബ്രെയിൻ സ്ട്രോക്ക്, ആർത്രൈറ്റിസ് തുടങ്ങിയ കൊറോണറി ആർട്ടറി രോഗങ്ങളുമായി മലിനീകരണത്തിന് നേരിട്ട് ബന്ധമുണ്ട്." അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു
