New Delhi: During the commemoration of the 69th Founder’s Day on April 13, 2024, Dr. Ajay Swaroop, Chairman of the Board of Management at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, emphasized the institution's steadfast dedication to charitable initiatives. He highlighted the hospital's status as India's largest charitable healthcare facility, showcasing its provision of 2,647 free surgeries, 20,078 complimentary X-rays, 2,238 free MRIs, and 2,661 free CT scans during the period mentioned. Dr. Swaroop praised the exceptional performance of the hospital staff, their enduring commitment to patient care, philanthropy, and academic excellence. Additionally, he announced plans for a new comprehensive cancer care center and the expansion of the hospital's capacity by 200 beds to better serve the community. Mrs. Sujata Sharma, Vice Chairman of the Sir Ganga Ram Trust Society, honored the institution's founder, Sir Ganga Ram, applauding his visionary philanthropy that led to the establishment of the esteemed hospital. Founder’s Day also served as an opportunity to recognize the dedicated employees who have played a significant role in the hospital's journey, with long service awards and accolades bestowed upon distinguished doctors and staff members. Dr. D.S Rana, Chairman of the Sir Ganga Ram Trust Society, a distinguished Nephrologist and recipient of the Padma Shri Award, expressed, "Our hospital faithfully follows the philanthropic legacy of Sir Ganga Ram, with charitable activities as our cornerstone.
