
A recent incident at a private hospital in Ratlam has raised concerns about medical billing practices. Bunty Ninama, a resident of Moti Nagar, was admitted to the hospital after sustaining injuries in a brawl. His wife reported that within 12 hours of admission, they had already spent ₹40,000. She was informed that her husband was in a coma, but upon returning to the hospital, she found him standing outside, visibly upset.
A video capturing Ninama's frustration outside the hospital went viral on social media, prompting the state health department to initiate an inquiry. Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. M.S. Sagar has formed a three-member team to investigate the matter.
The hospital management has denied the allegations, stating that the total bill amounted to only ₹8,000. They have labeled the claims of demanding extra money as baseless. The investigation is ongoing to determine the facts surrounding the incident.
