The upper age limit of 65 years has also been removed, allowing individuals of any age to register for deceased donor organs. The government aims to establish a uniform organ donation and transplantation policy across the country, in collaboration with the states. This move is a significant step towards achieving the objective of "one Nation one policy" for organ donation and transplantation, Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Bharati Pravin Pawar said.
