Lucknow: The state capital's distinguished doctor lodged a complaint with the cyber cell following a scam that resulted in the loss of over Rs 2 crore. According to the doctor's statement, he joined a wealth management firm after seeing their advertisements, and upon depositing money, he observed consistent profits on their website. However, when he attempted to withdraw Rs 2.27 crore, the firm demanded an additional deposit under the guise of commission. The doctor, who preferred to remain anonymous, stated, "When they insisted on a commission, I requested deduction from my profits, but they declined. Sensing fraudulent activity, I lodged a complaint." The complaint was filed with the Delhi cyber cell in New Delhi. The doctor, a recipient of the Padma Shri award, awaits further details.
