Gonda (Uttar Pradesh): Dr. Devi Dayal, facing mental torture, tragically committed suicide in Gonda. His lifeless body was discovered hanging in the clinic, with local residents promptly informing the police about the incident. The police, after taking down the body from the noose, sent it for post-mortem. Additionally, they recovered a suicide note from the doctor's clinic. The suicide note reveals that Dr. Devi Dayal held his wife, sister-in-law, and brother-in-law accountable for his demise. This unfortunate incident unfolded within a year of the doctor's marriage. Acting on the complaint filed by the father of the deceased doctor, the police have named the doctor's wife, sister-in-law, and brother-in-law as accused. Dr. Devi Dayal ran a clinic at his home in New Indira Nagar Colony, where he was reportedly pressured by his wife to keep a distance from the family. Frequent disputes between the couple escalated, and a few days prior to the tragic incident, Dr. Devi Dayal's wife Priya Yadav, sister-in-law Bharti, and brother-in-law Raju had allegedly threatened to kill him. The doctor succumbed to mental anguish, taking his own life by hanging in the clinic. Prior to his death, the doctor had shared a viral video on social media, where he explained the reason for his suicide. Upon the complaint of Shyamnath Yadav, the father, the police have registered a case and initiated an investigation. Additional Superintendent of Police Radheshyam Rai stated that Dr. Devi Dayal had shared a video on social media before his tragic death. In the video, Dr. Devi Dayal cited his wife's harassment as the reason for suicide. Based on the father's complaint and the suicide note, the police have registered a case against three individuals for abetting suicide. The course of action will be determined based on the ongoing investigation. A case has been officially filed by the police against the doctor's wife, sister-in-law, and brother-in-law.
