ഡൽഹി: സഫ്ദർജംഗ് ഹോസ്പിറ്റലിലെ 25-കാരനായ റസിഡന്റ് ഡോക്ടർ ദക്ഷിണ ഡൽഹിയിലെ വീട്ടിൽ ആത്മഹത്യ ചെയ്തു. വിഷാദരോഗത്തിന് അടിമയായിരുന്ന ഡോക്ടർ ദക്ഷിണ ഡൽഹിയിലെ തന്റെ വാടക വീട്ടിൽ സീലിംഗ് ഫാനിൽ തൂങ്ങിയായിരുന്നു ആത്മഹത്യ ചെയ്തത്. മുംബൈ സ്വദേശിയായ ഡോ. ജയ് ദിപേഷ് സാവ്‌ല ആണ് ആത്മഹത്യ ചെയ്തത്. വെള്ളിയാഴ്ച വൈകുന്നേരത്തോടെ ഗൗതം നഗറിലെ വീട്ടിലാണ് മൃതദേഹം കണ്ടെത്തിയതെന്നും ഡോക്ടറുടെ മരണത്തിന് പിന്നിൽ ദുരൂഹതകളൊന്നും ഇല്ലെന്നും പോലീസ് അറിയിച്ചു. സംഭവസ്ഥലത്ത് നിന്നും ഡോക്ടറുടെ ആത്മഹത്യാ കുറിപ്പും പോലീസിന് ലഭിച്ചു. രണ്ടു വർഷമായി താൻ വിഷാദരോഗത്തിന് അടിമയായിരുന്നുവെന്ന് അതിൽ ഡോക്ടർ പറയുന്നുമുണ്ട്. "സാവ്‌ല തൂങ്ങി ആത്മഹത്യ ചെയ്‌തതായി അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ വീട്ടുടമസ്ഥയാണ് ഞങ്ങളെ അറിയിച്ചത്. സംഭവ സ്ഥലത്തെത്തി പരിശോധന നടത്തിയപ്പോൾ, ഡോക്ടറെ ബെഡ് ഷീറ്റ് ഉപയോഗിച്ച് സീലിംഗ് ഫാനിൽ തൂങ്ങിമരിച്ച നിലയിൽ കണ്ടെത്തി." ഒരു പോലീസ് ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥൻ പറഞ്ഞു. മരണവിവരം സവ്‌ലയുടെ പിതാവ് ദിപേഷ് രത്തിലാൽ സവ്‌ലയോട് ഫോൺ കോളിലൂടെ പറഞ്ഞതായി പോലീസ് പറഞ്ഞു. “കഴിഞ്ഞ രണ്ട് വർഷമായി അദ്ദേഹം വിഷാദരോഗത്തിന് അടിമയാണെന്ന് കുടുംബാംഗങ്ങൾ സ്ഥിരീകരിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്." മറ്റൊരു ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥൻ പറഞ്ഞു. സവ്‌ലയുടെ മൃതദേഹം കുടുംബത്തിന് വിട്ടുകൊടുത്തതായും ഇൻക്വസ്റ്റ് നടപടികൾ ആരംഭിച്ചതായും പോലീസ് പറഞ്ഞു. സഫ്ദർജംഗ് ഹോസ്പിറ്റലിൽ മെഡിസിൻ പി.ജി മൂന്നാം വർഷ വിദ്യാർത്ഥിയായിരുന്നു സവ്‌ല.
