ഡൽഹി: വെറും പതിനൊന്ന് വയസ്സ് മാത്രം പ്രായമുള്ള ബന്ധിത ഇരട്ടകളെ വേർപിരിച്ച് മെഡിക്കൽ ലോകത്തിന് അഭിമാനം ആയിരിക്കുകയാണ് ഡൽഹി AIIMS-ലെ ഡോക്ടർമാർ. മണിക്കൂറുകൾ നീണ്ട് നിന്ന ഓപ്പറേഷന് ശേഷമാണ് ഇവരെ വേർപിരിച്ചത്. പീഡിയാട്രിക് സർജറി ഡിപ്പാർട്മെന്റിലെ ഡോ.മിനു ബാജ്‌പേയിയുടെ നേതൃത്വത്തിലായിരുന്നു ഓപ്പറേഷൻ നടന്നത്. ഇക്കഴിഞ്ഞ ജൂണിൽ ആയിരുന്നു സംഭവം നടന്നതെങ്കിലും ഇപ്പോഴാണ് വിശദമായ വാർത്ത പുറത്തു വിട്ടത്. "ഓപ്പറേഷന് മുൻപ് കുട്ടികളുടെ നെഞ്ചും വയറിൻറെ മുകൾ ഭാഗവും തമ്മിൽ ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട് മുഖം പരസ്പരം അഭിമുകീകരിച്ച് നിൽക്കുന്ന അവസ്ഥയിലായിരുന്നു. കരൾ, ഹൃദയത്തിന്റെ ആവരണ പാളികൾ, വാരിയെല്ല്, ഡയഫ്രം, അടിവയർ തുടങ്ങിയ പല പ്രധാനപ്പെട്ട അവയവങ്ങളും സഹോദരിമാർ തമ്മിൽ പങ്കിടുകയായിരുന്നു."AIIMS വൃത്തങ്ങൾ അറിയിച്ചു. ഉത്തർ പ്രദേശ് സ്വദേശിനി ആയ ദീപിക ഗുപ്തയുടെ മക്കൾ ആണ് ഇരുവരും. ദീപികയുടെ പ്രെഗ്നൻസിയുടെ നാലാം മാസത്തിലാണ് തൊറാക്കോ-ഓംഫലോപാഗസ് (നെഞ്ചും വയറും യോജിച്ച ഇരട്ടകൾ) അവസ്ഥയിലുള്ള ഇരട്ടകൾ ആണെന്ന് ഡോക്ടർമാർ തിരിച്ചറിയുന്നത്. കഴിഞ്ഞ വർഷം ജൂലൈ ഏഴിന് ജനിച്ച രണ്ട് കുട്ടികളും അഞ്ച് മാസത്തോളം ഐസിയുവിൽ ആയിരുന്നു. ഒടുവിൽ 11 മാസങ്ങൾക്ക് ശേഷം ജൂൺ 8-ന് ഒൻപത് മണിക്കൂർ നീണ്ട സർജറിക്കൊടുവിൽ ഇരുവരെയും വേർപിരിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. തങ്ങളുടെ ഒന്നാം പിറന്നാൾ കുട്ടികൾ ആശുപത്രിയിൽ വെച്ച് ആഘോഷിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.
