തിരുപ്പതി (ആന്ധ്ര പ്രദേശ്): അസോസിയേഷൻ ഓഫ് സർജൻസ് ഓഫ് ഇന്ത്യ നൽകുന്ന യംഗ് സർജൻ ഓഫ് ഇന്ത്യ പുരസ്കാരം ശ്രീനിവാസ ബാലാജി ഇൻസ്റ്റിറ്റ്യൂട്ട് ഓഫ് ഓങ്കോളജിയിലെ ഓങ്കോളജി സ്പെഷ്യലിസ്റ്റും ഒ.എസ്.ഡിയുമായ ഡോ.എം ജയചന്ദ്ര റെഡ്ഡി കരസ്ഥമാക്കി. വിശാഖപട്ടണത്ത് വെച്ച് നടന്ന അസോസിയേഷന്റെ വാർഷിക കൺവെൻഷനിൽ ഡോ.ജയചന്ദ്ര റെഡ്ഡിക്ക് അവാർഡ് സമ്മാനിച്ചു. കാൻസർ ചികിത്സ, കീമോതെറാപ്പി ഡേകെയർ സെന്ററുകളിൽ ആന്ധ്ര പ്രദേശ് സർക്കാരിന്റെ ഓണററി ഉപദേഷ്ടാവ് കൂടിയാണ് ജയചന്ദ്ര റെഡ്ഡി. ഈ മേഖലകളിലെ മികച്ച പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങളാണ് അദ്ദേഹത്തെ ഈ വിശിഷ്ട അംഗീകാരത്തിന് അർഹനാക്കിയത്. 1938-ൽ സ്ഥാപിതമായ അസോസിയേഷൻ ഓഫ് സർജൻ ഇന്ത്യ (എ.എസ്.ഐ) 40 വയസ്സിന് താഴെയുള്ള യുവ ഡോക്ടർമാരെയാണ് ഈ അവാർഡിനായി പരിഗണിക്കുന്നത്. മികച്ച ഡോക്ടറെ തെരഞ്ഞെടുക്കാൻ അസോസിയേഷന് ഒരു പ്രത്യേക വിദഗ്ധ സമിതി തന്നെയുണ്ട്.
